Afrikable - Cooperación para el desarrollo en Africa

In Afrikable, our idea of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a company committed to contribute to the sustainable development of society by collaborating with its employees, families, the local community, and society itself, with the aim of improving people’s quality of life.

It is essential for us to count on the companies’ and supportive entities’ support in our work. Thus, we manage to reinforce our job, to reach more women and children living in poverty and at risk of social exclusion.

In this relationship, not only society wins, as Corporate Social Responsibility is also an excellent tool to improve work atmosphere, productivity, economic sustainability, and other factors that influence the success of the company itself.

Collaboration modalities

Actions with employees

We ease the employees’ participation in our corporate volunteering projects and solidarity campaigns, in which they can share their means and skills.

· International Corporate Volunteering: Our idea of Corporate Volunteering is the most important manifestation of solidarity compromise that a company shows towards society’s needs by providing it with its most valuable asset: human capital. They collaborate through group activities, which are adjusted to every company’s needs, to support the actual project.

. Professional Volunteering: Professional aid in the main activity of the company.

· Virtual Micro-volunteering: Carrying out small tasks that can be done long-distance with no need for the volunteering employees to move from their workplace – for example, help translating documents to other languages, graphic design of documents, etc.

· Teaming: Solidarity initiative in order to gather volunteering micro-donations together, that would be invisible individually – some examples include, donating a euro from your wage or supportive payslips.

· Campaigns: Occasional collaborations and events organization in order to fundraise and spread the organization’s work with the aim of raising awareness among the employees and their environment – Volunteering Day, Christmas Street Market, etc.

Campaigns with Customers

We provide assistance to campaigns and projects that help the customers direct both their solidarity and active participation in social issues.

· Purchase of Afrikable products for either your own use or merchandising –including promotional gift catalogues, the company’s catalogues, Christmas presents, etc.

. Cause Marketing: Fundraising with social aims – related to the company’s products sale.

Project Development

Companies may fund a whole project – or just a part of it – depending on the project’s needs and the company’s targets.

· One-off donation or annual fee as business partner: Donation linked to specific projects, actions of specific increasing awareness, or to covering the project’s general needs.

· Matching Gift: Corporate funding for solidarity initiatives, promoted by employee donations that the company offers to, at least, equal the donations made by their employees.

· Percentage on Benefits: : The Company establishes a fixed percentage of contribution on its benefits for a specific issue/project.

· Donation of Supplies: Donation of material assets with social aims.

· Agreement with the Organization: Multiannual commitment with the supportive NGO to support some of our projects on a more regular basis –e.g.: Annual funding towards the free dining room for children living in extreme poverty.

Other kinds of collaboration may be adapted to every company’s corporate philosophy and needs.
